Colorado 2008 - Bits and pieces - Learning to fly

On 4 September 2008 Republican In Name Only John McCain gave a speech in which he accepted the nomination to be the standard bearer of the Republican Party in the 2008 General Election.

The speech was not impressive. But it was inspiring because it revealed and showed what Republican In Name Only John McCain believes and why he believes what he believes. For this he is to be respected.

With this speech Republican In Name Only John McCain joined his running mate Republican Sarah Palin in a new chapter of the Republican Party.

With this new chapter there comes a new beginning for many things.

Including this effort.

Beginning now this effort goes silent and eventually dark. Beginning now this effort begins anew at a new location.

You are invited to this new beginning. You are welcomed to take part in this new beginning. As Sarah Palin and John McCain have demonstrated individually and collectively change for the better is not about hope. It is about action. It is about word and deed. It is about having courage to one's convictions.

All you have to do is take the first step and begin the journey.

The journey begins now. The journey begins here -

Colorado 2008 - The politics of sex - The news media - The Reporter-Herald

The Reporter-Herald has made it clear - The editor of The Reporter-Herald hates women. He loathes women. He despises women.

Especially women who are self-made. Especially women who do not bow to him and worship him as a man.

The Reporter-Herald has made it clear - The editor of The Reporter-Herald hates women. He loathes women. He despises women.

Specifically a woman named Sarah Palin.

This is the news media in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The NoCo Report - The news media - The Coloradoan

An item of interest to some: Robert Moore, worker of The Coloradoan admits he spends great effort and energy avoiding work.

This is the news media in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The NoCo Report - The news media - The Reporter-Herald

[Guest post by "Travis"]

The editor of The Reporter-Herald is not only a racist and a bigot, but a sexist. Proof of this assertion can be found in the 2 September 2008 edition of the newspaper - the comment in "The RH Line" that suggests Sarah Palin is 'eye candy'.

A comment published with the blessing of the editor - the aforementioned racist, bigot, and sexist.

I wonder what the editor of The Reporter-Herald would think if someone called his wife that?

This is the news media in the 21st Century.

If you find such things offensive - and you should - take the matter up with the publisher of The Reporter-Herald, Ed Lehman.

Colorado 2008 - The Republicans - Sarah Palin

The announcement the 17-year-old daughter of Republican Sarah Palin is pregnant is disheartening. At the same time there is inspiration in her decision to take responsibility for her actions. She is engaged. She will marry. She will raise the child. She acts accordingly.

Her mother has made a life for herself. It is hoped her example will be followed by her daughter.

Colorado 2008 - The Democrats - Howard Dean

Howard Dean recently made remarks that were inappropriate and uncalled for.

Howard Dean is white trash. He is unfit to be in public. If the Democratic Party had any self-respect they would send him down.

But they will not do so.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The NoCo Report - The news media - The Coloradoan

[Guest post by "Travis"]

An item of interest to some: Robert Moore, the executive editor The Coloradoan, is a college drop-out.

In other words:

He doesn't finish what he starts.

He's a failure. A bum. A hack.

But because he's a Liberal he thinks he knows what's best for everyone else.

This is the pride and joy of The Coloradoan. This is the pride and joy of the Gannett Corporation.

This is the news media in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The NoCo Report - The news media - The Reporter-Herald

[Guest post by "Travis"]

The Reporter-Herald wasted no time in launching a smear campaign against Republican Sarah Palin, the choice for Vice President of the United States of America by Presidential Candidate Republican In Name Only John McCain.

Such things are expected, though, especially from a newspaper that doesn't champion and celebrate hard work and success on an individual level. Such things are expected from a newspaper that condones fraud and plagiarism - and calls such things professional journalism.

This is the news media in the 21st Century.

The Coloradoan wasted no time in launching a smear campaign against Republican Sarah Palin, the choice for Vice President of the United States of America by Presidential Candidate Republican In Name Only John McCain.

But such things are expected from The Coloradoan. After all, the editorial page editor, Kathleen Duff, is employed not only by the Gannett Corporation, which owns The Coloradoan, but also the Democratic Party, which owns her soul.

This is the news media in the 21st Century

Colorado 2008 - The Republican - Sarah Palin

The choice of Republican Sarah Palin by Republican In Name Only John McCain as his Vice President is an interesting one.

But it is not an unexpected one despite what the news media and Democrats say.

Colorado 2008 - The NoCo Report - The politics of economics - Larimer County - Loveland

[Guest post by "Travis"]

A special interest group in the City of Loveland, which includes City Council members, has made it known it wants the taxpayer to provide at least six million dollars to redo downtown Loveland.

If this group wants to redo downtown Loveland - which isn't defined, incidentially - let them pay for it out of their own pockets.

Colorado 2008 - The Democrats - Barack Obama

Democrat and Presidential candidate Barack Obama is on record as condoning censorship.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The Democrats - Mark Udall

For more than a decade Democrat Mark Udall willingly went on the record as being against off-shore drilling.

Now he supports it for one reason - it is an election cycle and he has made it clear he will say anything and do anything to get elected.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The Democrats - Mark Udall

It is widely reported and documented the Democrat Mark Udall has a paid staff member of his campaign rewriting his entry on Wikipedia to either eliminate or censor the fact Democrat Mark Udall's wife - Maggie Fox - is a lobbyist with direct connections to the League of Conservation Voters - which has been running smear campaigns against Republican Bob Schaffer.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The politics of politics - The news media and the DNC

"Dr. J.", a retired professor of journalism, who monitors the news media, notes that no mention has been made of ratings for the DNC - giving reason to wonder who if anyone watch it.

Colorado 2008 - The politics of politics - The Republicans - Mitt Romney

Republican and former Presidential candidate Mitt Romney was recently interviewed about the candidates for the position of Vice President with Republican In Name Only John McCain. Mr. Romney claimed he did not know who the chosen one is.

He knows.

I know.

In the eyes of a man of God one sees the truth and knows there it to be so.

This is what the Republican Party in the 21st Century should be.

Colorado 2008 - The politics of economics - The Democratic National Convention

Despite previous claims by Democrat and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, a.k.a. "Mayor Goober Hickenblooper", the DNC is not proving to be the financial windfall promised. The number of visitors to the area is not living up to expectations and businesses in the area of the convention are reporting they are not seeing an increase in traffic or sales.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The politics of belief - Nancy Pelosi vs. The Catholic Church

Democrat Nancy Pelosi finds herself in the position very few desire - between a rock and a hard place. All because of her willingness to justify murder.

According to Democrat Nancy Pelosi there is nothing in the Catechism of the Catholic Church that says when life begins.

This is not true. According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church language it has been clear for 2,000 years that human life begins at the moment of conception.

The willingness on the part of Democrat Nancy Pelosi - who claims to be a Catholic - to lie to defend the act of abortion demonstrates her lack of morals and ethics and her utter contempt for life itself.

This is the Democratic Party in the 21st Century.

Colorado 2008 - The Democrats - The Democrat National Convention

To the delight and thrill of the Democrats and their supporters in the news media the Democrat National Convention began in Denver today.

Although he does not talk politics much these days my friend, "Jim" had a memorable line about the proceedings today -

"There is rain, and there is hail. There is a tornado. There is blight and famine. There is disease and rot.

Given the Democrats' love of symbolism the signs of the apocalypse can't bode well for them."
